Accelerating Arrivals to Reduce Waiting Times and Boost Logistics Performance
The Customer – Ferrari
An Italian company recognized worldwide, Ferrari manages a complex daily logistics flow characterized by highly customized components and strict timelines. Every day, around 80 vehicles arrive, including articulated trucks, lorries, and vans.
Why Load Manager?
The need to improve visibility over incoming vehicles, reduce yard waiting times, and streamline coordination between carriers and internal departments led Ferrari to evaluate an advanced digital solution.
As Martina Botti, Ferrari’s Material Handling & Transport Manager, explains:
“Our main requirement was to gain visibility over the vehicles entering the facility, within the warehouse, and over the materials.”
Ferrari receives a high volume of customized components, many of which must be used within hours of arrival: “Around 40% of the customized components we receive today will be assembled today or, at the latest, tomorrow.”
This prompted the adoption of a system capable of:
- reducing waiting times at loading/unloading areas,
- improving distribution of inbound flows,
- offering more reactive and flexible planning,
- supporting rapid operational decisions.
Load Manager was selected thanks to its ability to customize the system and introduce advanced planning logic.
